Manipulating data
After or during your data collection, you may want to modify your data set in some way or another. Perhaps you want to get rid of some unwanted point, or perhaps you want to prepare your data for use in other applications.
You can manipulate only the data points in the current data set. You need to be in one of the data modes, i.e. Manual pick mode, Trace curve mode or Scan for symbols mode.
- Most functions operate on selected data; first select your data points before you continue;
- You can delete individual data points, whole selections or even your whole set;
- After tracing a curve, you may want to resample your data on constant intervals along the X axis;
- You can sort your data in increasing or decreasing directions along the X or Y axis;
- You can move selected data points per pixel using Ctrl and the arrow keys;
- You can maintain more than one data set to order your data.
